The AMSA JCL is the AMSA Chapter, or branch, of a larger organization called the National Junior Classical League
(NJCL). The NJCL, and all of its branches, is a society for middle and high school students which has the goal of encouraging an
interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature and culture of ancient Greece and Rome and to impart an understanding
of the debt of our own culture to that of Classical antiquity.
It sounds lofty, but it all comes down to a few things: we like
either Ancient Languages, History, Mythology, Culture, or Activities. Under that umbrella, anything can happen.
